Yoga Nidra (yogic sleep) is a guided meditation technique inducing a deep state between waking and sleeping, practiced lying down (Shavasana) to achieve profound rest, stress relief, and mental clarity by systematically relaxing the body and mind through breath awareness, body scans, and visualization. It's structured in stages, including setting a personal intention (sankalpa), to calm the nervous system, release tension, and access deeper states of awareness, making it a powerful tool for relaxation and self-transformation. We include some yin yoga poses before our Nidra practice, to aid the fascia and muscles in relaxing deeper, s well as adding in some optional reiki at the end of the Nidra practice!
